"When I Saw His Light" is a Nasheed about the light of Prophet Muhammad / نور النبي. This is an Ali Elsayed Nasheed video from his latest Album "the Sun of Guidance". Here is the story of how it came about. I heard one day a couple of verses in Arabic praising Sayyidna Muhammad (pbuh). These two verses were attributed to the poet of the Prophet (s), Sayyidna Hassan bin Thabit (ra). These two verses touched my heart, and reflected upon the eternal beauty of the Prophetic light, and what would happen if Allah would reveal the heavenly beauty of His beloved Prophet (s). The poet tried to describe his first encounter with the light of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). After much reflection, I decided to write a song about such an encounter.
